I've been thinking the same thing Nige, but all I keep coming back to is that it would be easiest to modify the existing pipes, that way you could put the balance pipe wherever you wanted it. All the other pipes seem like they would need surgery of some form to fit as there doesnt seem to be any standard position for the rear mountings or standard geometry to the mufflers.
