well my dilema is I had always gone down 1 tooth in the front which causes the stiff chain to actually compress tight around a smaller cirumference on the countersprocket I noticed that it makes for a noisey and buzzy chain whine so if u go up 2 in the rear it pretty much has the same effect if u go down 1 on the countersprocket without the chain noise.
