Heated grips are good, though the switch box (which has space for the fog-light switch too) looks very "after-market".
Two Temperatures: low is fine for me, I have kangeroo-skin palms with no lining, but insulated tops on my gloves, bought so that the heat would get to my palms well... only when I'm queueing it gets too hot. Normal gloves would be ok.
The best bit is that the heat pumps round my whole body, so I don't need any other insulation, just leathers and t-shirt.
