I paint in the morning on a dry day and try not to make any dust. I cover just about everything on the bike thats not going to be painted. I use plastic bags and lots of tape to cover up. I remove all the chrome pieces and any part that would interfere with the paint job. I use 1200 degree paint on the exhaust ports and flange and go over that with standard paint. I spray using the cans the paint comes in. Use back and forth light strokes let dry and apply another layer on top of that until you get the look you want. Use paint thinner on the spray nostril, shake really well, to keep the flow even. The headed ports may need to be touched up from time to time but it is easy to do and the cost is $5.99 per can and the two cans will complete the two sides. Dupli color "High Heat" with ceramic Black DH1602 for hot spots and Dupli-Color Bumper Coating for the rest of the engine.
