Take lots of pics and make good notes as you take things apart. Be sure and tag things and bag up entire assemblies with related nuts and bolts as you go. Prepare ahead of time by creating lots of space on shelves... ect... for all of your parts. You will be shocked at how much room you will need.
Go slow and study things as you take things apart, you might be able to remove large assemblies as a whole, instead of just taking every small piece apart. You will need clean containers for fluids, you may want to reuse things like antifreeze. You may have to invest in a few new tools to get to things. If you get stuck on something walk away from it for a bit... its not a race. Use us for help...
Put tape on electrical connectors and number them (memory on tape). Sometimes connectors will plug into multiple sockets. 4A should plug into 4B and so on.
When you lift the frame from the bike get some help. I know you said you were going to lay it down... put it on some old carpet or cardboard and avoid scratching your frame and engine cases up.
I will send you a PM...
Tomo
