Was traveling home Sunday from a weekend motorcycle event. It was a three hundred mile ride and for the last 90 miles I let my buddy ride since he was bikeless for the weekend. Both of his bikes were in various states of disassembly for new parts, modifications etc... Now I have had plenty of the compliments we hear so much of on this board; "nice bonnie, what year is it?". But my friend paid a really nice compliment I had not heard before. After we got back to my house he said he really loved the bonnie and it was a "little hotrod" that he could really get himself into some trouble on. He's very knowledgeable about bikes and one of his is an 1800 VTX that is hotrodded to the max with performance parts including a NoS system. I knew my bonnie was a blast to ride, I just never thought "hotrod". Was a nice compliment. And by the way, from the vantage point of the car 70 or 80 feet behind my bike I got a very good dose of how loud my D&D's really are. Holy cow!
