The bike arrived at the MC-Xpress at 2 PM today. One hour later it had been dyno tested. 138hp on the back wheel. The only mod on was D&D exhaust with the right program and Shell V-power fuel. Not bad!

Love the D&D by the way. Perfect finish and fit. Still, I have heard a RIII with a 3to1 exhaust and it sounded better then anything else. Might change while I’m at it (translation: If I can afford).

The position of the turbo has already been moved from in front of the back wheel to high on the right side. Not very discrete, but it will be closer both for the exhaust and for the pressured side, easy to fit the intercooler and no need for a return oil pump.

A larger turbo then the one was planed for in the beginning will be used. A small turbo will start loading earlier, but will restrict the gas flow. Since the beast has a fair bit of torque in low revs, it might be better if it can breath easier and wait for the turbo to kick in at about 3000rpm. If it don’t work well enough, it should be easy to change to the new Areocharger, as Dyehard suggested, once it is out and has been tested by someone else then me.

I hope to go up there next week and be able to show pictures and data.

Including a link to the turbo company. They have some nice stuff on their web site. Have a look at “records” and some movies of the madness.
