The main thing here is that if the MIL still stays lit up after doing the three heat cycles, there is definitely a fault that needs to be fixed.

Regarding your bike's service, did the mechanic take the airbox off to check the sparkplugs? If he did, it sounds like he might have disconnected a sensor and not reconnected it, or mixed up the sensor connections.

The airbox temperature sensor and the coolant temperature sensor are the two that come to mind here as they are fairly close to each other.

If they're not connected, or the connections are mixed up, the MIL will light up, and won't go out no matter how many heat cycles you put the engine through, until you fix the fault.
