Actually, sangsters, PJ1 Black is for use on standard chains, while while PJ1 Blue is for O-ring/X-ring chains. The following text was copied directly from www. pj1.com:

PJ1 Blue is optimized for O-Ring/X-Ring chains.

Attributes:
Clear formula won't fly off
Has a “memory” that bounces back to absorb chain lash
Reduces chain stretch and the requirement for frequent adjustments
Lubricates between roller and sprocket
Preserves O-Rings
Can also be used on standard chains

Ordering Information:
5 fl oz (147ml) Aerosol MSRP 5.33 USD (Product No. 1-08)
13 fl oz (384ml) Aerosol MSRP 8.67 USD (Product No. 1-22)

I've been using Chain Wax, and have been very happy with it. Last week, we bought a can of PJ1 Blue, and that stuff slings EVERYWHERE. I was even cleaning it off the top side of my rear fender! I'm going to keep using Chain Wax; it seems to lubricate fine, and it doesn't sling off.
