Well I went out there and looked, and of course you have to have the sissy bar to mount the brackets the way I did. And of course, the new submissions for pics area is shut off for the moment too on this site so I cant even show you what they look like...
Anyways, mine are like upside down T's that keep the saddlebags from rubbing into the tires... Theyre spray painted black too, and surprisingly they sorta just dissappear when the saddlebags are off. I've got the tourmaster bags that zip off too, so they come off pretty easy.
