I'll have to figure out how to post pics, but I have a sissy bar on my Bonnie and there are two screws (allen head) that mount the sissy bar to the bike. Well, I got some aluminum thats about 1.5 inches across, screwed two of the pieces together to make a T, and screwed the bottom of the T (imagine an upside down "T") into where the sissy bar mounting brackets are. I'll try to get some pics on here, but it cost me ohhh, about 7 cents to make them.
I got my bike with the sissy bar, so I dunno if the same brackets/bolts are there if you dont have one. I'm at work and bored so I'm gonna go out and get some pics and see if I can get those pics on here.
I agree, the price for brackets is beyond retarded.
