I had placed an ad in the Members' Only section of the AMA web site to sell my Summer Screen (no one here was interested). A guy responded and sent a pic of a Clearview replacement shield on his Bonnie and suggested that I not sell the Summer Screen, but try the Clearview which he loves.

www.clearviewshields.com

Anyway, they look just great; use the standard Triumph hardware and come as a simple replacement which is a duplicate of the 13" high Summer Shield; and in several much taller heights: 18"; 19.5" and 21" - depending on whether you want to look over or through the shield. The tall shields are also 2" wider than stock on each side; 4" wider in all.

All the tall shields are $145.00 and are custom built to order. This is the busy season and turn around time on an order is four weeks. Shields are not made until the order is placed.

I am VERY tempted. Have any of you tried this shield? It looks very high quality and would totally eliminate the need for any handlebar hardware, and there is not a lot of room left on a stock handlebar as it is.

Looks like a great solution since I already have the sunk investment in the Summer Screen and will not be able to sell it without taking quite a financial hit. Advice? Opinions?

Let me know ASAP because I would like to order this week unless someone has a horror story that might give me pause.

Thanks much!

Monte
