About the highway thing, your going to get the whole range of opinions on this question.
I personally would not do it, if it had a few more miles on it then I would say go for it.
If you do decide/have to do it, then at least warm the bike up fully and vary your speed when your on the highway.
My bonnie was horrendously tight when new. I broke mine in pretty hard and at 1.5k miles it just started to feel right.
This is just my opinion and it isn't worth a d a mm. I'm sure the very next response will be the exact opposite.
