Well, I recut my fender in order to make it as nondescript as possible. I had originally left on the plastic mounts for the turn signals, but decided that it all had to go. I did leave on the “flap” that the license plate attaches to in order to forgo having to pay $50 for a plastic skyking license bracket. Here are some pics:

I marked out the area with an orange pencil crayon and then cut it with a dremel and a cutting wheel...leaving 5-10mm extra. Then I smoothed it out with the sanding drum on the dremel. I totally removed the 2 outer support arches from the underside but left just a little of the centre arch to help support the license mount. The dremel will spray melted plastic everywhere, make sure to clean it off the exhaust before firing your bike up!
