Geof3, you're right... it doesn't happen while in motion, only while the bike is stopped. That being said, my 6,000.00 2001 Bandit with only steelbraided lines as an upgrade won't even come close to the grip. My '92 Nighthawk and my '79 Yamie triple also feel firmer. I would think that a bike that cost almost twice as much would perform as well if not better. While I haven't had any close calls on the S3 due to the brakes, compared to my Bandit's system, they do not inspire confidence.
