Thanks John,
The tail light needed a little more work when I took the pic, so it wasn't ready to install yet. I did some of the work myself, but not too much. My Dad was working with a guy who did the majority of the teardown and coordination. Some of the mechanical work was also done a few years ago by Hermy's. In a nutshell, here's what's been done (in no certain order):
Full teardown to frame - major subs left intact where we could
Tear down and rebuild the top end (rings, valves, springs)
Completely rewire the bike (new harness)
Recover seat
new rubber stuff everywhere
Rechrome, repaint, respoke wheels
Tear down, rebuild, repaint front end
Rebuild magneto and new pickups
Rebuild clutch, clean up basket
New (old) tank with NOS badges and pads (painted and Kreemed)
Rebuild front drum (3 times)
Oil tank brazed from leaks and cracks - powdercoated
New shocks
1 or 2 motor brackets fab'd by hand
cracked fender fixed
Some new bolt kits
Rework kick and shop stands to remove mods
Lots more paint, polishing, chrome and powder coating
That's what I can remember at the moment. The funny thing is that we never started out to do a full restoration. 8 years later...
