Surfer Joe - I've installed the kit and the Only thing I can think that your talking about is the carb support brace. Mine was notched at one end to hook over the spacer tying the carbs together and has a hole at the other for attaching to the frame under the fuel tank. That it?? post a pic if not. Can't imagine what else it could be. JCW
