sorry to hear that. Mine almost ignited when the float needle did not seat and gas was dripping all around the magneto.
My petcock experiment is just that, not recommending anyone to do what I have done to the petcock. When I get a replacement I'll take it back apart and see what the Formathread looks like. I'm afraid every time I take out that old bike, someting might break, ignite or lock up.
My other hobby is Ham Radio and I've gotten bit by electricty.
