it's a european thing. The aprillias have them too. It's like a little trigger on your left switch houseing. instead of having to flick the hi beam on and off when you want to flash someone you just pull the trigger and it turns your high beam on as long as you hold the trigger.
i have hazards on my 01, but not sure where they would be on the 05
