Thanks Dave, yeah I have fun. Though as you can see not too much in the last year :-) .

It was a blast to get through the snowies and back. I put new tyres on the ST before I went. I'm trying the Shinko Korean tyres. About $80 a set less than Pirelli or Michelin in Sydney (still $470 a set fitted though). They were fine.

We did about 160K of dirt (some through Falls Ck to the Omeo Hwy and the Omeo Hwy to 10K out of Mitta Mitta) was really *****! As one mate put it 3 hrs to do 140KM on the dirt and about 1hr to do the next 140km to Jinjellic (the incentive was to be there before roo o'clock) !!!

Anyway, I still have about 1/2" of chicken strips (just can't get that last bit of lean) but the tyres got a good work out. They started to pit rather than ball and were very linear in their feel, ie a slide on loose gravel on the bitumen was a short slide and then business as usual - very confidence inspiring. Yet to try them in the wet obviously.

The front is the sporty 03 and the rear the sport touring 05. They look a bit worse for wear after riding hard, but I'm quite happy with them. I'd say they outperform the Bridgestone and may be about the same as Pilot Road, although the steering is not quite as quick.
