I finally received my engine back from SouthBay Triumph on the 9th. Unfortunatly, I was out of town until the 18th. on the 19th, my good friend Sean showed up at the house at 8:30 AM and we commenced installation. That evening, Rochelle and Carrie joined us for a ride out to dinner.
I can't believe I got it in and running on the same day. It still needs a little tuning. I think it needs to be a little richer, the plugs are a little light and it pops on decelleration.
Lucky for me, SouthBay's break in proceedures were short and simple. "300 miles of easy throttle. You can get the RPMs up, just do it easy." I think I can handle 300 miles. I'll have that done this weekend if the weather is nice.
So far, it feels as though it is going to be a monster. I can't wait to click off those 300 miles so I can see what it will do. I've got only 185 miles to go.
Who wants to go ridin'?
