In 7500 miles last summer, my '99 averaged 50mpg. It seemed that 75 was the magic number, the mileage was 42-50 above 75, up to about 53 at highway speeds below 75. I was all stock at that point and have since gone to 19 teeth on the front. City traffic is still around 40, but I drive like a geezer! Still faster than the SUV's, but not crotch rocket style.
