After deluding myself that I could live without Triumph Off-Road Pipes and Cat-by-pass, I finally gave in and installed them onto my Rocket. And I had the boys at my local shop install tune 20056 as per some advice I read on these (& other) forums.

Then I took her out for a test-ride.

I can't believe what I'm about to say, but : The Rocket III wheelies almost as easily as my Speed Triple !!!

If you've ever ridden/wheelied a Speed Triple before, you'd understand what a bold statement that really is. My ears still hurt from my cackling inside my full-faced helmet. I can't believe the power difference from stock form.

I'm a little weird like this: While I'm not an "Icey Hot Stunta" by any means, I do love to wheelie. And not just any sport-bikes... any fool can wheelie those things. I used to wheelie my old Honda Valkyrie, and I love to shock people by lifting the front on my GoldWing. But this Rocket... it's something else! It's actually so damned easy to wheelie, it's no longer a challenge! But it's fun as hell!!! 8-)
