I had posted this earlier in some other post but between then and now I managed to forget my password and had a heck of a time getting back in as a member, but I kept lurking.
I would also like to say HOWDY from Texas to everyone. I've been lurking mostly with just a couple of post. I'm still trying to figure out my way around this forum and I like what I've seen so far.
I bought my 05 Rocket in Feb. of 05 to compliment my 01 Legend. I love them both but the Rocket gets most of the attention when I'm trying to decide which one to ride. I've been riding for a little over 46 yrs. and probably about 90 plus % of the bikes I've owned have been British made with Triumph being way ahead of the others. Norton, BSA are the other brands from our English friends. Of course there were a few times on my BSA 441 Victor my thoughts and language weren't to complementary. Man that sucker could kick. I carried many bruises and a limp when it cleared its throat to remind me that it could pitch me over the handle bars with one quick bark.
Just a few lines about myself. I've been in the Oil & Gas industry since 68. My wife of 39 yrs. and I have 3 grown daughters and 6 grandkids (5 boys & 1 girl). We have lived in Texas 25 yrs. after coming down from Okla. I've lived and worked in Calif. WY., MS. We also share our home with 1 Yorkie and 1 Rottie (it was 2 but a couple of weeks before Christmas our female Rottie left us after sharing her love for 10 yrs with us). I enjoy group riding as well as solo. Long distance or short, it doesn't matter as long as I can ride.
Guess I'd better close for now and before I bore ya all to much.
Keep up the good work. I'm sure I'll have some questions in the future.
Ride and Stay Safe.
