For what it's worth, I cleaned out the axle last night but still couldn't get the pin to fit. Like FrankP, my rear axle seems to have about a 1-2 mm lip, but it is about 20 mm inside the axle. Kind of crazy. The folks at Pit Bull, however, are very accommodating and are going to send me the "T undersized" pin. It sounds like they've seen this before.
