Second kingmohan's opinion, don't get discouraged by the wrist pain. You'll get it for the first week or two of riding, then your back muscles tighten up and you can ride comfortably.

There are lots of ways to raise the clip-ons, just make sure you give your back time to strengthen before you change anything.
