Thanks, Russ, but that isn't the problem. This is the darndest thing because I have tried every fix that has been discussed for the past two years. This is what makes me think something is amiss inside of the cases.

The factory repair manual doesn't do a very good job of providing a detailed look at the shift shaft internals, but it looks like there might be a bushing involved, and I'm intuiting that this bushing may not be working properly, thereby allowing more oil through than it should, which is then being pushed through the seal.

I just wish I could find someone to tell me I'm on the right track or totally off base!
