Have you by any chance over filled your bike with oil ?, the reason i say this is because if you have, then it gathers in the bottom of the airbox and seeps down through the breathers making it look like an engine leak or a breather pipe. Al the oil gathered in exactly the same place as you describe.
It doesn't need to be over filled by much for this to happen. I found out the hard way by stripping down most of the pipes and valve cover etc.
