Just cruising the sites, and saw your post. Classic Bike mag in the U.K. roadtested a Bonnie last year and found it stalling in rain or unable to start just after hard rains on several occasions. They eventually found that the drain tube from the air cleaner box was pinched at the bottom and filling with water after rain (haven't look for this, myself, as I'm rarely in rain). I think that this maybe is stock in this state, so if you look under the bike for this you should be able to see it. Hope this helps.
