1977 Was the first year for "Pacific Blue" and "Ice White". I have the original dealer brouchure and original owners manual calling out the colors and codes:
USA Small Tank: Cherokee Red E222
USA Large Tank: Polychrome Blue Heavy Fleck C7983
The original Dealers Brouchure I have states that "Pacific Blue" was the new color for 1977. Here's a pic:
