Black Bonneville - Putting on the stainless hex screws to replace the pot metal Phillips. 1st problem is that the left inside back screw is not coming out and may be slightly stripped. I think I may need to remove the carburetors to get this sucker out. Any trick to removing the large rubber intake hoses? Seems to be the worst part. Problem #2 - I removed the bottom of the float bowl to see how the jets are located. Removed the main jet to see how difficult. Reassembled and now get a slight popping when the engine is idling or backs off. I am thinking that maybe the jet holder may have backed out a bit. Should this be tightened first and then the jet? Do I attack or punt it to a real mechanic. Thanks.
