I'd be willing to bet on a naked 675 of some form at some time, although I doubt we'll see an end to the large displacement Speed Triple soon.
Absolutely the frame will be different. One of the distinguishing features of the 675 Daytona is it's "Over the top" style frame (it seems like all the top Nihon bikes are heading towards this as well). Also, I would look for significant styling changes over both the 675 Daytona AND the 1050 Speed Triple.
Predictions:
Definitely will have dual headlights.
Probably will have dual exhaust, possibly underseat.
Return to the single sided swing arm.
Revised tuning, but probably not really de-tuned. Just altered for torque. OR, punched out to 700cc
Will weigh about as much as a Hollywood Starlet.
Upright seating, with handle bars and a less radical seat.
Inverted forks disappear, (SURPRISE!) but radial brakes remain.
Even less bodywork.
Anybody disagree with any of this?
