I don't know the weight difference between an ST and a GT, mu guess is the GT weighs considerably more. I am not working with Gina's but when I email the owner my phone rings that day or I receive an email back the same day. I also deal directly with the owner. They are more knowlegble about their bikes and the brand. I think our local dealer treats everyone the same as if a Japanese buyer is the same a European buyer. It's different people, levels of maturity. I still love the ST although I wish it had ABS. Once you feel your ABS work and realize it just saved your A__ you don't want to be with out, unless it is such a light bike (under 350) you can control a little skidding. There was a test done that showed a less skilled rider with ABS stopping within feet of a professional racer. One high or low side and I would be wishing I had gone ABS.

Still the Sprint is 45lbs lighter dry, a little less wet and supposably a great handler and it is absolutly beautiful. The bags are a real issue though, once mounted they look like you need tools not a key to remove, I guess that is why bag liners are required. The BMW just needs the turn of a key and the flip of a handle to remove 5 seconds mabe.

Still that motor, 78lbs of torque and 123hp and beauty of the ST calls back to me.

Then I remember the screwy seat, peel back the back of the seat and you have to remove two screws to remove the seat. No helmet lock?

I think I am going R1100S 98hp 70lbs of torque, rear cowling already on it, no engine heat issues, under seat exaust has no heat issues.

Still the ST is beautiful and they say they are fixing the bags.

Happy New Year, let's ride sometime,

jc
