I didn't discuss the recall as I didn't think that particular bike had been on the show room floor for so long. Any idea how long the silver one has been sitting around?
I love the sound and am sure I would love the rush of the power, but I am starting to lean back to the 04 R1100S as I can get just as good a deal on what was a $12,500 bike. It has just under 5000 miles and has had the 6000 mile service done +new tires. It has ABS brakes and great looks not to mention a seat that comes off with a key. The BMW bags really work and come off and on with the ease of a key and they don't leak. I love the feel of the twin and the sound is pretty good, not as good as the SPrint ST.
If the local dealer had made me a better offer, like they really wanted to sell a bike :-D , I would have been sold and not looked back.
