A suggestion from the agent who handles all of my business insurance was to:
1. Accept the check....do not cash it.
2. Then go after the driver/insured in small claims court for the difference.
Funny thing is, as I am typing this.... the insurance agent just called & upped the value to $4000.00
I am going to compile a list of available bikes & mail it to the insurance company.
There may be a light at the end of this tunnel.
(That light may be a 1970 Triumph :-D ).
