I put clipons on my '02 S3. They came off a '01 Daytone (45mm). They definitely give more front end feel. I had to work a bit to get the throttle cables to route nicely. I also replaced the clutch cable and brake hose to the shorter Daytone ones. I probably could have gotten away with the old clutch cable, but I found I needed the shorter brake hose. I originally put Protek clipons on but they were so low I was basically kissing the gauge cluster when I rode. Also, if you install Daytona clipons, don't over-torque the clamps otherwise you'll find yourself running around town looking for a helicoil kit... don't ask how I know.
