The Adventurer has a different rear subframe and a bobbed rear fender. The different rear end allows a solo seat as an option. It also has a 16" rear wheel and an 18" front wheel as opposed to the Legends 17" wheels front and back. Basically, the differences are all cosmetic (more bling, as you said).
I like the classic looks of the Legend rear fender myself but that is just a personal preference. You would be happy with either bike, it's just a matter of which one looks better to you.
