I thought rejetting was necessary. Popping and back-firing did increase on my '05 TBA. Even after adjusting the pilot screws to 3.5 turns out, I had to bump the jets to the supplied 125 mains and go 3.5 turns out to reduce popping and backfiring on decel. Keep in mind my AI system was removed before receiving the bike.
Since then I've make other "modifications" requiring further rejetting, but I felt the aforementioned was necessary.
Just my 2 zloty.
