I could be wrong, and this is going to be controvercial so i hope i don't get flamed, but i have a feeling a smaller rocket wouldn't sell. I think the thing's engine is as fugly as it gets, and while this is just my opinion i would be willing to bet that a lot of people think the same and that a lot of those who own them buy them because they want a huge fast bike and are willing to look past that. But i think given the option of a bike with an engine that looked like the twins (not possible of course, but for the sake of the point) but had the same size and power i bet 95% of rocket owners would opt for that. So i think a smaller version wouldn't have the appeal of the big rocket because the big and fast part of the equasion would be gone, and at that point looks become more important because theres nothing you're getting as a trade-off for that fugly engine like you do with the R3.
