When I bought my bike, the dealer installed the D&D's I wanted and "rejetted". They gave me a bag with the stock jets & I just threw them in the box along with other stock items I never bothered to put on the bike. I never looked to see what size they were.
As far as I can tell, the bike is running too lean.. The plugs are very white, no brownness at all, "popping" on deceleration has always been there, but since it is colder now & the air is more dense, popping is even worse now. I also pulled the top snorkle and the bike was unridable; as soon as I hit the throttle it nearly stalls. (It's back on for now)
Now, I've opened up the bag of jets the dealer gave me and all that is there is a set of secondarys #42 on them. I haven't been able to speak to anyone at the dealer that can tell me, but it looks to me that they never did anything with the man jets at all. The dealer is too far away to go back to them & I now I prefer to do it myself, but have no idea what starting point.
Can anyone say for sure what jets are on the my bike as it came form the factory? I will be removing the air box soon also, should I do it all at once, or re-jet for the pipes and again when I do the airbox? Any thoughts on what jets' I will need and should I change the needles?

Why don’t you just try increasing the mixture by turning the mixture screw out a few turns to start with? When I changed my pipes I had serious popping on my Speedmaster and could feel fuel starvation at higher revs. Had a look at the jets 120 main and 40 pilot. Just by increasing the mixture screw it now perfect. No popping backfiring loss of power. I have also removed the snorkel.
