My Triumph dealer is far away, but a Yamaha dealer is just down the street. I measured the shift peg rubber on the Yamaha FZ1 and other Yamaha sport bikes and figured the part would match. The part number is Yamaha 5EB-18113-00 and costs $4.50. This is just the rubber piece, not the whole shift lever. I got a second one as a spare, although the new one should last over a decade.

The Yamaha part fit very well. It's just 2 mm shorter in length which is not noticeable. It fits a little more snug on the peg, which is actually a good thing. The Yamaha part is more pliable than the brittle Triumph item and now upshifting is no longer painful on the top of my foot. After removing the old rubber, a little water will help you slide the new one on. Note: the inward facing end hole of the rubber has a counter sunk bevel that makes it easier to slip over the bare peg.
