I have noticed that the great majority of modifications discussed on this forum relate to increased air flow. I was told by a "mechanic and dyno tune expert" who has spent most of his life in the racing industry, that in most cases increasing air flow by adding filters directly to the intakes decreases low end performance and causes most motorcycles to run extremely lean as the fuel pump and injectors can't force enough fuel to maintain an ideal air/fuel ratio. Is this the case with the r3 stock fuel injectors and fuel pump? Are the stock injectors and pump suitable for such modifications?
