"Karma? Didn't you have the same problem a month ago? Maybe your bike senses you don't like it. If you said something nice about it maybe you wouldn't have as many problems. Do the bike a favor and sell it to someone who'll love her and send out some positive vibe's, she'll be much better off. "

Tsportpirate is talking my language now. Do you talk to your plants Shedds? Only kidding!
But on a serious note, Pirate is absolutely right when he says "Maybe your bike senses you don't like it"
I learned years ago when I first started as an apprentice aircraft mechanic in the USAF, that these machines, this applies to all machines, are just that to a lot of people. But some of us have gone further and regard these machines in a different light. We recognize that our airplane, bike, car, whatever, responds much better to positive vibes and some plain old TLC. All machines will have their problems and some problems seem like there is never to be a fix. It can be very trying at times. All the wax in the world won't take the
place of some well placed lubricant and some nice words. Sometimes a bit of scolding might be in order, after all, the bike can try you just like a teenager will. But you will know how to do it because you know where she is weak and where she is strong. She has a heart and soul, if you will.
My peers used to think I was crazy when I would tell them my secret on the aircraft. I used to go out to it every day and do the repairs if needed, and when that was done the cleaning rags came out and I would talk to her as I polished, in my mind of course, don't want to appear too crazy for fear of a section 8. But I gave out those positive vibes and I swear to this day that it works.

I do the same with all my vehicles. And just like with the airplane, when the polishing is done and before we hit the road, a little tickle and rub on her belly with the right words being whispered make for a happy bike that performs better each time I ride her.

Crazy? Probably
Effective? Definitely

Ride safe
