Yup -- Keihins seem to consistently get much better fuel economy. Seem to carburet a bit smoother too, but don't have the same throttle response as well tuned mikunis.
The mpg difference gets worse over time since the Keihins seem to hold their tune better (Mikunis eventually are plagued by worn needles).
