O.K. Quag,

Here's how it looks on mine; the red wire, if we're talking about the same one, grounds to a screw on the bracket that holds the under tank front reflector on the left (clutch lever) side. The condenser pack seems to have only the two wires that go on the spade connectors and the whole assembly bolts to the frame. The frame is the ground for the bike so I guess that's it. By the by (how is the countess?...Three Stooges), there is a spade connector that screws to the reflector bracket so that the red wire can be connected. Now I'm not sure how your harness looks, and there's another ground on the right side, but that may be for something else. My parts and service manuals, both factory or factory repro, aren't too clear on that subject.
