Can anyone recommend me a top quality mechanic who is able to work with efi thruxs? Anywhere in Vic, just looking for someone who has the patience to deal with someone who isn't mechanically minded and can re-map and such

I recently bought a second hand Street Triple less than a year old. I took it in to Turn One in Kensington for a check over and some adjustments and couldn't be happier. From what I can tell, Charlie there only works on late model Triumphs, nothing else.

(Yes, I know this post might look a little sus, being only my second post and a recommendation for a mechanic, but its legit. I only just came across these forums looking for a ride next weekend and found your post!)

Hi I have had disappointing work from so called Triumph specialists so purchase service manual and efi data cable, download software and are much happier doing it myself as most servicing is check this check that and just change oils.

I purchase the efi map from lineman triumph twin power and are extremely pleased with performance.

All the best have fun with your Thruxton

After experiencing very poor service from Melbourne's authorised Triumph service centre, I did the search and took my bike in to Turn One. You wouldn't think it is possible to make a difference on late model EFI bike but let me tell you it can. Anything from throttle grip adjustment, smoother gear box, adjusted levers, adjusted suspension to suit the rider. All the things authorised service centre did not do. And the best part is, it is cheaper to get your service done at Turn One ($330) then at the dealer ($500+).

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE TO YOUR DEALER FOR YOUR SERVICE. Take it to Turn One!! Your bike will come back very different. If unsure just rock up and show Charlie your bike, you will know straightaway he knows his bikes.
