My '96 came with D&Ds and they were pretty loud, but not obnoxious, I thought. The bike had a nice roar, halfway between the bass of a twin and the scream of a 4 cylinder. I took them off because I use it exclusively for touring, commuting and running errands, and it was a bit much, especially for touring. Plus there was a small rust hole at the front of one. I got a pair of stockers with the bike, and I put them on. I kinda miss the roar sometimes.

Bikerdude, if you want to test drive mine, you can have em for the price of postage. My Trophy's a 900, I don't know if the exhaust is exactly the same. Also keep in mind that they are glasspacks, so the longer they've been around, the louder they get.
