If the question is, who DOESN'T seem to respond favorably to my wave?......
As a former BMW owner, I'm ashamed to say that it's the Beemer folk on their "on/off road" GS models (more often than not) who refuse to acknowledge that there are other bikes out there worthy of their recognition.
Gold Wing guys just tip their fingertips up off the grips momentarily.
Crotch rocket riders seem likely to flip the inverted peace sign if they're able to do anything but hang on.....
Harley owners reveal themselves as either an "outlaw", bikerider, motorcycle enthusiast, or RUB wannabe by the way they wave. You gotta have a trained eye to read 'em though....
Nerds, geeks, and weirdos are quick to hold up the palm of their hand perpendicular to the tarmac, with their arm bent at a distinct right angle.
If I have time to recognize an oncoming bike as that of exotic heritage, I wave then give 'me a "thumb's up!" I'm identifying myself as a fellow elitist snob who likes bikes outside of the cookie cutter realm....... Yes, I said snob.... albeit a friendly and accepting "snob".
