Due to a personal financial crisis a couple of years ago, I was without a bike for about 13 months. One of the things I missed most about it was not giving and getting the "wave." I somehow felt disconnected, exiled from my community.
I wave at everyone, Harleys to Vespas, unless the circumstances won't permit it. Most riders wave back and it feels good when they do. It's like being recognized by a friend in a crowd.
