On the '03 (and similar body style) Sprint, you'll need to remove the side panels because there is one bold holding on the belly pan, that is underneath the side panels. Why, I have no clue.

The one time I removed the belly pan, I went through the trouble of removing the side plastic, but didn't put back the annoying bolt. I've had no problems with it loosening or anything.

Personally, the way the plastics are fitted is a real pain on the ST. Good thing there is no need to remove anything for an oil change.
